Greetings from autumn-chilly Korea!
Those of you who know it will instantly notice the signature pose of Bae Yong-Joon and his co-star from the drama Winter Sonata. Not that Candy and I have seen it. But we were on Nami island, the location where many scenes were shot. Everywhere you could see posters, and we wanted to fit into the atmosphere of the island.
Yes, we’re now on our honeymoon. One day after our wedding we flew overnight to Incheon airport near Seoul to meet our tour guide (a witty, insightful and fatherly Korean-born Chinese man). It’s been five days since and we had no internet access. Candy couldn’t wait to see photos from the wedding day, so the moment we found a free access point today we logged on to Facebook to see what our friends have uploaded.
The photos evoked afresh a deep gratitude in us for all our friends, relatives, family, helpers. We felt so blessed on Saturday. I cannot recall a single detail of the wedding service that I felt was less-than-perfect. Maybe I’m biased, but I think of all the weddings I’ve attended, I enjoyed our wedding the most.
We are enjoying Korea and each other. Though I feared that joining a tour group would be hectic rushing from one place to another, I’m really satisfied by the quality of the tour so far. It was unexpected, but the tour guide has been genuinely helpful, informative and we enjoy the best of each place we visit though it’s a short stop each time.
I want to blog more regularly now that we’ve our own website. But I know nobody will disagree with me not wanting to spend my honeymoon blogging, so I’ll end here for now. We’ve taken lots of photos so far, but that’s till today cos my battery’s dead and I forgot to bring the charger. Though I’m glad I got to update a little bit – I’ll try to share photos and journal more. And work on evolving VictorCandy.com when I’m back.
Meanwhile, pray for us as we adjust to life with each other. I’m hoping we’ll experience beautiful times with each other that will begin forming our shared memories starting from this honeymoon. Till later.
